HAYWOOD COUNTY, Tenn. — A suspected drug trafficker is accused of using a large bucket of paint to smuggle cocaine across West Tennessee. According to the Tennessee Department of Safety, Alberto Nava, of Kentucky, was pulled over Wednesday for following too closely on Interstate 40 in Haywood County. The trooper thought Nava seemed nervous, and after investigating, the trooper found a 5-gallon bucket of white paint in the trunk, according to the report. He opened the lid to find a ball of duct tape wrapped around 1.2 lbs. of cocaine valued at $15,000, the report also states. Nava is currently in the Haywood County Jail on multiple drug charges.
