Miss TN Visits Students at Jackson Christian
JACKSON, Tenn.–Miss Tennessee Hayley Lewis returned to the Volunteer State after competing in the Miss America Pageant. Lewis sang for students at Jackson Christian on Friday. The Nashville native returned to Tennessee this week after competing Sunday in Atlantic City. “It was a whirlwind to say the least,” Lewis said. “It was so much fun. You got to meet girls from all different walks of life.” Lewis had the opportunity to wow the judges with her voice and finished in the top ten. “I got to see all of my hard work finally pay off on national television,” she said. Lewis will speak to thousands of students across the state over the next year. “She talked about how you need to respect others and how she went through a tough time,” Ella Cornelison, a 5th grader said. Cornelison hopes to wear the Miss Tennessee crown one day. “To be able to travel all over the world and talk to kids like she does,” she said. Lewis looks forward to serving the state. “I can use Miss Tennessee this year to make a positive impact that maybe a lot of kids aren’t receiving at home,” she said. Lewis hopes to graduate with a business degree from Belmont University.
