Jackson police seek info in midnight shooting

WEST JACKSON — Jackson police are seeking information regarding a midnight shooting that left one man injured, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department. 

Officers responded to the shooting about 12:15 a.m. Monday at Hamilton Hills Apartments in the 800 block of Old Hickory Boulevard.
 
A preliminary investigation determined a 33-year-old man was shot while fleeing from two armed intruders who had entered an apartment, according to the release.
 
One of the intruders chased the man and shot him in the abdomen, according to court documents.
 
The wounded man was transported by ambulance to Jackson”Madison County General Hospital, where he was treated and released  around 11:30 a.m., according to the release.
 
The only available description of the suspects is two black men wearing bandanas, the release states.
 
The man appears to have been specifically targeted, according to police. A motive has not been determined.
