JSCC employee charged in Muse Park sting suspended with pay

EAST JACKSON — The Jackson State Community College employee charged in a sting operation at Muse Park last week is suspended with pay. The suspension with pay of the school’s Veterans Affairs director, Tracy Morton, is in accordance with policy, according to school officials. Officials said they will wait until court proceedings finish before making a final decision on Morton’s termination. Police say late last week, an undercover officer posed as a minor at muse park and was approached and solicited for sex by Morton and another man. Both men are charged with solicitation of aggravated statutory rape. Morton, along with one other man, was officially charged Monday and is currently free on $15,000 bond.
