Zach Adams’ brother officially charged in Bobo case

DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. — Dylan Adams was formally charged Monday morning with destroying evidence critical to the Holly Bobo case. Dylan Adams, Zach Adams’ brother, is charged with tampering with evidence. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Dylan Adams admitted to destroying evidence the day Bobo disappeared, April 13, 2011. Investigators will not release details of the evidence involved in the charge. District Attorney General Matt Stowe said anyone with information is under a microscope. “We are working very hard to secure cooperation from everybody we think has information in this case. Bringing charges is a tool you can use in that arsenal to try to get cooperation,” Stowe said. The Bobo family was present during Monday’s court proceedings. Sandy Scott, a family friend, said it is hard to imagine two brothers worked together to commit such an unthinkable crime. “It’s hard to know that kind of evil and corruption is where we are and basically in our backyard,” Scott said. Zach Adams was previously charged with Bobo’s kidnapping and murder. Dylan Adams is the fifth arrest in the Bobo case. Stowe said that more arrests are possible. “We’re not going to stop till we have put behind bars everyone that had anything to do with this horrible crime,” he said. Green and pink bows decorate downtown Decaturville in remembrance of Bobo. “Pink bows were for bringing her home, and the pink and green stands for justice because she deserves that as any victim of something like this would,” Scott said. “She had just as many rights as they do, and we want everybody to know that.” Dylan Adams is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 22. He is being held at the Madison County Jail without bond. His attorney says he plans to make a motion for a bond hearing.
