JACKSON, Tenn. — Don’t drink and get behind the wheel — that’s the message from the Jackson Police Department. There will be sobriety checkpoints this weekend throughout the city. In an attempt to keep the city safe, Jackson police will have extra patrols and designated checkpoints. The goal is to get unsafe and impaired drivers off the road before they can hurt anyone else or themselves.
