Suspect shot by Madison Co. deputy

THREE WAY, Tenn. — A deputy has shot a suspect in an incident in the town of Three Way in north Madison County, according to the sheriff’s department. A second person has been taken into custody. The condition of the person who was shot has not been released. The shooting took place in the parking lot of the Maverick Gas Station, according to Madison County Sheriff John Mehr, who is on scene. There are two crime scenes, and deputies said both scenes are related but have not said how. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation also is investigating, Mehr said.
