Clock winding down for Madison Co. voter registration

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Madison County residents have less than one week to register to vote. The last day to register is Oct. 6. However, if you have moved since the last election, organizers say you still have time but it is important to change your address because state law requires voting take place in the precinct of residence. “October sixth is not the last day to change your address if you are already a registered voter, but it is important to take care of that to help the process go better for the voter and for the election process,” said Kim Buckley, administrator of elections with the Madison County Election Commission. Early voting for this election will be held from Oct. 15 through Oct. 30. Sample ballots may be viewed at the election commission website.
