Praise in the Park brings hundreds

EAST JACKSON — Hundreds gathered Sunday night in East Jackson for praise and worship at Shirlene Mercer Walking Park. Churches in Jackson have planned Praise in the Park for about a month, and the event is being held at a different park each Sunday in October. Organizers say they are thrilled with the turnout of nearly 700 people. Free food, inflatables, music and preaching were hosted by area churches.
