Three arrested after West Tenn. fugitive is found

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — Deputies discover drugs and stolen property during the arrest of a fugitive wanted in three West Tennessee counties. Deputies say Johnny Arnold was wanted on multiple charges for crimes ranging from aggravated burglary to evading arrest. Carroll County deputies say a tip about Arnold’s whereabouts led them to a home on Copper Springs Road. “They noticed Mr. Arnold kind of asleep at the rear of the residence, made contact with him there outside the residence, took him into custody,” Henry County Lt. Scott Wyrick said. Wyrick said Roxanne and Gary Fisher now face charges for accessory to a crime and drug charges. After searching their home, investigators say they found a gram of crystal meth and at least four pounds of marijuana. “When the officers were talking to miss Roxanne Fisher at the residence, they noticed a smell of marijuana.” Wyrick said. Deputies say the search warrant also turned up stolen goods reported missing from Carroll County. A man who lives a few houses down from the Fishers told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News after these arrests he now feels safer in his own home. “You can’t leave your house alone,” neighbor Jimmy Smothers said. “You’re afraid someone’s going to break in at all times.” Smothers said he does not trust his neighbors. “They don’t work, they draw out a check from the government, they’ve been known to be thieves.” Wyrick said both Roxanne and Gary Fisher are being held at the Henry County Jail, Roxanne in lieu of $25,000 bond and Gary in lieu of $50,000 bond. Both are expected in court Oct. 21. Jonathan Arnold is being held at the Benton County Jail without bond. He is scheduled to appear in general sessions court Oct. 22.
