Police warn motorists with parked vehicles

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Police Department said over the weekend, several parking lots have been hit with a string of car burglaries. In various parts of Jackson, police say burglars went around to parking lots and apartment complexes checking for unlocked car doors, stealing purses, money, and other valuables. Police say the key to not being a victim is to keep your doors locked at all times, and be aware of your surroundings. Any suspicious activity should be reported to the Jackson Police Department.
