Two arrested for spotlighting deer; deputies find drugs

DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. — Two West Tennessee men are behind bars after officers say they tried to illegally shoot a deer by spotlighting it. Chase Pearcy is accused of driving while Avery Bell shined a spotlight on a deer and fired at it with a high-powered rifle. Deputies said they confiscated marijuana, Adderall and a pipe containing meth. Both men are being held in Decatur County Jail and are scheduled to appear in court Oct. 20.
