Man accused of stealing funds provided to build Henry Co. home

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — A man given $200,000 to build a Henry County client’s house has been accused of running off with the money. Joshua Damesworth, 26, appeared in court Tuesday for charges of theft of more than $60,000, impersonation of a licensed professional and misapplication of payment. Investigators say he stopped construction six months into a 2012 project for a Henry County woman. Deputies also say he did not have a valid license when he accepted the payment. Damesworth’s bond was set at $75,000.
