Man formally charged with stealing deer stand from Jackson Walmart

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man accused of taking a deer stand from a Jackson Walmart faced the judge Tuesday. Jeffery Clark was reportedly seen by Walmart store officials Oct. 7 stealing a deer stand. Employees say they identified Clark as the man leaving the store with the stand and that they later saw him re-enter the store and take more merchandise. At that point he was stopped by Jackson police and arrested. Clark remains jailed in lieu of $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 23 for a preliminary hearing.
