This One’s for the Girls event draws crowd for breast cancer awareness

NORTH JACKSON — Hundreds of West Tennesseans came out Tuesday for the fourth annual This One’s for the Girls event. The breast cancer awareness event was held at the Jackson Country Club. Guests had the chance to enjoy lunch, vendors and win door prizes. The featured speaker was a breast cancer survivor. Organizers say this event was a great way for participants to learn about the disease while improving their health. “For the women of West Tennessee to be able to come and learn some points and some knowledge to take with them, to empower them to be in charge of their own health,” said Susan Barker, This One’s for the Girls committee member.
