THP identifies motorcyclist killed in McKenzie wreck

McKENZIE, Tenn. — A Henry County man has died after his motorcycle collided with an 18-wheeler in Carroll County. Jeremy Allen, 41, of Henry was killed as a result of the accident that happened just after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 79 and Oak Street in McKenzie, according to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. An 18-wheeler was traveling south on Highway 79 and was making a turn onto Oak Street when a motorcycle driven by Allen failed to stop and crashed into the rear of the truck’s trailer, according to the report. The driver of the truck was not injured. Allen was wearing a helmet, according to the report.
