Neighborhood Watch brings area residents, police together

JACKSON, Tenn.- Because of the recent crime in their neighborhood, residents along Winchester Cove gathered Thursday night to learn more about starting a Neighborhood Watch. Interim Chief Julian Wiser was there to answer questions as were other members of the Jackson Police Department. “It shows the ability to work together in the partnership of the police department because we can’t do it by ourselves, they can’t do it by themselves so working together is a really good partnership where we can’t help try to prevent crime.” said Lt. Byron Taylor of the Jackson Police Department. Residents from nearby Magnolia Place also attended the neighborhood crime watch meeting.
