Police: Two students threatened with guns after minor fender bender

JACKSON, Tenn.- Two men appeared in court on Thursday, after police say they threatened two students from Liberty High School. According to reports, the incident began just after 3 p.m. when two cars bumped into one another at the intersection of Ridgecrest Road Ext. and U.S. Highway 70 East. That is when police say both parties inside each car exited the vehicle. The two students noticed that Randy Montgomery,19, was carrying a large pistol in his pocket. The students then told police that they left the scene because they thought it was the safe thing to do. That is when they were followed by Montgomery and his passenger Julian Wilson, 23. They followed the students into the rear of the parking lot where police said the two suspects threatened the students with the guns. Police arrived on scene shortly after the threats were made and apprehended the suspects. Police recovered two loaded handguns, 16 grams of marijuana, 21 pills, 7 cell phones and over $500 in currency. The accident is currently under investigation.
