Churches welcome to help with Room in the Inn program
On Nov. 1, Area Relief Ministries will begin its 8th winter emergency shelter program for homeless men called Room in the Inn.
Room in the Inn is a partnership between ARM and the local churches, in which congregations host homeless men in their facilities overnight while providing dinner and fellowship in the absence of an emergency shelter for men in Jackson.
“There is still room on our calendar for more churches,” said Lisa Peoples, ARM’s executive director. “Any church of any size can host Room in the Inn. It is an experience that has blessed the churches as much as the men they have served.”
