Finney holds final town hall meeting as senator

JACKSON, Tenn.- Lowe Finney hosts his last Town Hall meeting as state senator. Finney was joined by TBI Director Mark Gwyn and focused the talk on crime in the city of Jackson. The two addressed, what some consider a growing problem with violence and gang activity. Finney, who has already announced he is running for mayor of Jackson in May denied this was an early campaign stop. He said he has held forums like this throughout his time in the senate. “Tonight, we want to tell them about a few things that were included in this year’s budget and some of the anti crime initiatives that were passed to the legislature. This year everything dealing with gangs to meth abuse as prescription drug abuse as well,” said Senator Lowe Finney, Finney and James Baxter are challenging incumbent Jerry Gist in the race for mayor.
