Sheriff: Man dies after fall from deer stand

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A man was killed in a tree stand accident Tuesday in rural Madison County. The man slipped and fell as he was working on his tree stand and was pronounced dead on the scene, according to Madison County Sheriff John Mehr. The accident happened around 1 p.m. at 648 Rochelle Road, Mehr said. The man’s wife was present and served as a witnessa. The man’s name has not yet been released.
