Woman injured after arrow crashes through her window

KENTON, Tenn. — A Gibson County woman is rushed to the hospital Thursday morning, after being shot with an arrow. According to Kenton Police, Charles Bosher was practicing with a cross bow in his backyard when the arrow ricocheted. But this suspected accident has this tight-knit community shaken. “I feel restless and possibly in danger,” Cindy Botts said. She and the rest of a Kenton neighborhood are on edge after police said an arrow flew through their neighbor’s window. “Well it’s pretty bizarre,” Botts said. “You think someone would be more careful with a cross bow.” According to investigators, Charles Bosher was practicing with a crossbow in his backyard when an arrow he shot ricocheted and went flying toward his neighbors home. He was charged with reckless endangerment. “He seems like a good guy,” Marian Spencer said. “Unfortunately for the lady she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.” Officers said the arrow lodged in the woman’s arm, but she’s expected to recover. Bosher declined to go on camera but said he feels terrible about what happened and that he will not be practicing in his backyard again. “It’s kind of scary,” Botts said. “If he’s not more responsible than that it could happen to any of us out here.” Although it has left some residents a little tense, others hope people who own these types of weapons will learn from this. “I think safety is the main concern for most of it,” Spencer said. “As long as you’re not threatening anyone, I don’t see anything wrong with having one around.” Kenton Police said Bosher was cooperative in their investigation. He is currently free on bond.
