Woman accused of burning boyfriend with cigarette faces judge

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A woman was in court Wednesday to face accusations of assaulting her boyfriend, according to court documents. Iesha Marie Carter is charged with simple domestic assault and domestic vandalism. Police responded Monday to the 400 block of Lambuth Boulevard where Carter’s boyfriend told them she had poured bleach on his clothes and burned him with a cigarette. Carter was issued a $1,000 bond.
