Runners lace up shoes for ‘Glow Run’
JACKSON, Tenn.- More than 100 people in West Tennessee braved the cold to run in the dark, Thursday night. The fourth annual ‘Glow Run’ kicked off at Liberty Park in north Jackson. A ‘Glow Run’ is where the runners run at night and wear glowing accessories, such as glow sticks and glow bracelets. This year runners laced up their sneakers to benefit “Hands Up,” which is a local preschool for underprivileged children. “We can make a difference and inspire others to get and make a difference any time they whether its 32 degrees or 75 degrees,” said Jon Ewing of Leadership Jackson. The event raised more than $8,000.
