NORTH JACKSON — The staff and residents of Elmcroft Senior Living did their part Wednesday to say thanks to those who serve the public every day. Police officers, firefighters, postal workers and emergency responders were honored with a “Hero’s Lunch.” Workers came in shifts of 12 to sit down, enjoy a meal and meet some of the residents. “This is a very small token that we can do to pay tribute to all that the firemen, policemen, postmen and EMS do for our residents and for our community,” said Rosy Roberts, executive director of the assisted living facility.
