Local church hosts Thanksgiving dinner

JACKSON, Tenn. — The New Life Christian Center hosted a Thanksgiving Day celebration Thursday. The church opened their doors to the community for a worship opportunity and a free dinner for those in attendance. The church says giving back is their way of letting the less fortunate people know they are loved. “Doing Thanksgiving dinner is a time of family and friends, and so many people in Jackson don’t have either family nor friends, and we wanted to be the outreach that they could come and feel the love of a family and a friend,” pastor of New Life Christian Center Dr. Barry Chaney said. The church served about 500 people.
