Heat lamp causes Hardin County house fire.

HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — The Hardin County Fire Department responded to a fire at a home Saturday morning, and it started in the dog house. Hardin County Fire Chief Melvin Martin says a heat lamp in the dog house caught the dog house on fire, and the flames went up to the roof and attic. Everyone made it out of the home safely, and there were working smoke detectors. Fire officials warn that heat lamps this time of year are dangerous. This is the second fire due to a heat lamp the Hardin County Fire Dept. has responded to in less than a week.
