Humboldt principal returns to work from paid administrative leave

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — The principal of Humboldt Middle School who had been on paid administrative leave returned to work Monday. Principal Lillian Shelton was put on paid administrative leave last week, just before the holiday break, as the result of an investigation into “unprofessional communication.” Because of the Thanksgiving Holiday, Shelton only missed three school days, Nov. 24, 25 and 28. WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News will have more information from the investigation as it becomes available.
