Woman accused of stealing from Jackson jeweler appears in court

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A trip to a local jewelry store led to a woman appearing Thursday in court. According to court documents, Leslie Brooke Crews went to Robert’s Jewelers on Vann Drive on Tuesday to have a piece of jewelry repaired. While in the store, Crews is accused of taking two Pandora charms out of their packages, concealing them and leaving the store without paying, according to the documents. The merchandise was valued at $100 and the incident was captured on security video, the documents state. Crews is charged with theft of property under $500 and was issued a $1,000 bond.
