JACKSON, Tenn.- Fire victims in east Jackson got a little help from one business with a few West Tennessee locations, just in time for Christmas. The Phillips family shopped with the Rent-a-Center location in Jackson for nearly 10 years, when their house burned down earlier this week. When all they thought they would receive from the company was a TV they had rented, store officials from locations in Humboldt, Bolivar and Jackson pitched in to help buy them kitchen appliances and a living room set. “It’s giving back to the family that, you know, lost right here before the holidays and everything and we feel that’s something we can do,” said Ronnie Woodward, a manager with Rent-a-Center. “Just (appreciate) all the help folks have been giving me since we had our tragedy just appreciate everybody’s help,” said Eunice Phillips, who lost her home to the fire. More than $5,000 worth of furniture was given to the family.
