JFD battles east Jackson house fire
JACKSON, Tenn.-Jackson firefighters were on the scene of a house fire in east Jackson late Friday night. Firefighters on the scene tell us they were called to the 300 block of Arrowhead Street, which is located in the Hillcrest Circle area around 9:20 p.m. When they arrived, crews said a large amount of smoke was seen pouring out of the home. They told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News they were able to bring the fire under control in about 15 minutes. Fire investigators said five people who lived in the home as well as their pets all made it out safely. Officials also told us the fire started in the attic.. but the cause is still being investigated.
