Decatur Co. public servants give back with ‘Food Fight’
DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. — Deputies, firefighters and first responders in Decatur County have been busy with some extra work — competing in a “Food Fight” to gather food and toys for those in need this holiday season. On Tuesday, they gave away the food they had collected and handed out toys to local children. Decatur County Fire Department Station 1 gathered the most, collecting about a ton of food and nearly filling a fire truck. The event was sponsored by the News Leader.
