JACKSON, Tenn. — Chick-fil-A announced Wednesday it could soon be fighting its own nationwide data breach. The restaurant chain recently received reports of potential unusual activity involving payment cards used at some of their restaurants, according to a release. At this time, the company says it is working with experts to confirm whether a breach has taken place. There is not yet any indication customers of the Jackson locations have been affected. The suspected breach dates back as far as December 2013. The company released a statement saying they are working to investigate these events and will share additional facts as they become available. If the investigation reveals a breach has occurred, customers will not be liable for any fraudulent charges, according to the statement.
