JACKSON, Tenn.-The city council takes a first step in approving a new census for the northwest annexation area. The area near Windy City Road was annexed in 2011. Mayor Gist estimates the census will bring in an extra $250,000 in tax revenue a year. Area firefighters will be the ones going house-to-house to make sure everyone is counted.
