Police say parents of allegedly targeted girl took proper action

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police say a Jackson man is in jail because the parents of an underage girl took the proper actions to protect her. Cody Agee is charged with two counts of solicitation of a minor. Court papers say Agee sent nude pictures of himself to the girl and asked her to perform various acts. Officers say when they arrested him they confiscated a sex toy, his phone and a tablet. “Many times, we’ll have parents that will take it upon themselves to let the subject know that, ‘hey, we know you’re talking to our child and we’re going to report you to the police,’ and at the point that can lead to destroying evidence,” said Terry Buckley with the Jackson Police Department. Agee is currently free on bond.
