NORTHWEST JACKSON — West Tennessee Business College has received new merits of accreditation this week. Classes at the college have been re-accredited by the accrediting council. The school has been granted full approval to continue offering programs through the level of an associate’s degree. That includes programs through the school’s health, business and applied science degrees. President and CEO of West Tennessee Business College Vicki Burch explains what this means for the students. “Accreditation is a commitment to quality assurance for program satisfaction, for program effectiveness and ensuring that the students are getting what they are coming here to receive,” Burch said. West Tennessee Business College’s partnership with the accrediting council dates back to the 1970s.
