THP identifies woman killed in Alamo crash

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol has identified the woman killed in a Tuesday afternoon accident in Alamo that left another person injured. Janet Pleasant, 71, of Friendship, was killed when she was ejected from a vehicle that overturned in the two-vehicle accident, according to a preliminary report from the THP. The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. when the vehicles collided at the intersection of Highway 412 and Egg Hill Road, according to the report. The vehicle in which Pleasant was riding came to rest in the median. The driver was wearing a seat belt but Pleasant was not, according to the report. The driver is listed as injured. The driver of the other vehicle was the sole occupant and was not injured, the report states.
