Junior Firefighter Explorer Program accepting applications

JACKSON, Tenn.,–The Junior Firefighter Explorer program is accepting applications from men and women interested in a career with the Fire Department. Program participants must be between the ages of 14 and 20 and accepted into the program. Rico Bryson, public educator for the Jackson Fire Department said the program will not only give students the chance to train for real-life on the job situations, but also help develop personal characteristics. The class will meet once a week from 5-7pm beginning in early February. Interested applicants can call the Jackson Fire Department training center at 731-425-8350 and ask to speak with a public education officer. The program is open to 15-20 students and cost $26.
