Firefighters respond to car burning in roadway in west Jackson

WEST JACKSON — Crews responded to a vehicle fire in the roadway around 5 p.m. Monday. A car was fully engulfed in flames on Foxlea Drive near the intersection with Old Hickory Boulevard. Firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire. Firefighters on scene said no injuries were reported. The car was a total loss.
