Man arrested following restaurant break-in

TRENTON, Tenn. — Trenton police make a quick arrest after a local restaurant is broken into late Sunday night. Thomas McElrath is jailed without bond on counts of burglary and felony theft. Officers said just before 10 p.m. Sunday, the silent alarm at This Is It BBQ was tripped. Police said they spotted McElrath running from the restaurant and took him into custody finding several stolen items either on him or near him. McElrath is scheduled to be formally charged Tuesday morning.
