DOWNTOWN JACKSON — The wanted man who turned himself in after a week on the run faced a judge Tuesday on charges stemming from a north Jackson shooting. Kirby Ross, 22, is accused of shooting a man after arranging to sell him a gun in north Jackson earlier this month. According to court papers, Ross shot the victim twice, once in the hand and then in the leg. The affidavit says the victim later identified Ross in a photo lineup. Ross is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, attempted aggravated robbery and unlawful possession of a handgun by a felon. He currently is being held in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
