Police update info on car driven by suspect in fatal west Jackson shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police have released updated information about the car they are looking for in a Tuesday shooting that left one man dead. The car is a white, four-door 2007 Nissan Maxima with a sunroof and tinted windows, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department. Police say they have spoken with the car‘s registered owner. The car has not been located, and officers are still searching for it, the release states. It may have either a temporary or regular license plate. The shooting victim, James Roberson, 25, of Jackson, was found shot to death when officers responded to the shooting that happened around 9:30 a.m. on Woodberry Trail, according to police. The department has a surveillance camera on Old Hickory Boulevard that captured the suspect‘s vehicle as it traveled east on Old Hickory immediately before and after the shooting, the release states.
