JACKSON, Tenn.,– Jackson-Madison County school system is holding a series of open houses for potential teaching candidates. The first Talent Discovery day is scheduled for January 31st at the central office located at 310 North Parkway in Jackson. JMCSS Chief Human Capital Officer, Dr. Tiffany Green said the Discovery Days are an opportunity for any currently licensed teachers or student teachers slated for a May graduation to come and learn about the schools in the district. While the event is scheduled from 1 p.m to 3 p.m., Green said prospective employees should anticipate spending at least a few hours meeting with School Superintendent, Dr. Verna Ruffin, some of the top-performing employees for the school system, and hearing about some of the district’s plans for the upcoming school year. Early registration is encouraged, but not required. Additional Discovery Days will be February 28, March 28, and April 18.
