ALAMO, Tenn. – National Signing Day wasn’t an easy decision for Crockett County’s Johnny Jones. The senior says his decision to join Harding University came down to the school’s values. “I feel like they have a better bond such as family over business. I think I made the right decision. I’m going to love Harding,” said Jones. Jones had a heroic season in his final year as a Cavalier. The 2014 Mr. Football Finalist set three state record (most touchdowns, rushing touchdowns and points) and was named the “5th Quarter” Player of the Year. Jones plans to major in petroleum engineering at Harding. “It’s not the easiest, but I’m going to do it,” smiled Jones.
