MILAN, Tenn. — Milan High School students wrapped up three weeks of training Friday to learn how to be a firefighter. The program put them through different scenarios and taught them about being a first responder. Their last day of class was a time to demonstrate rescue techniques while wearing fire gear. One instructor says being a firefighter is all about teamwork. “In the fire service or EMS, you do not work by yourself,” instructor Kris Todd said. “You work as a team, and that’s one thing we stressed was teamwork.” This class is part of a grant for the high school.
