2 charged after Trenton search yields drugs, gun, $37K cash

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Officers arrested a man and woman in Trenton after a search warrant turned up drugs, a gun and a large amount of cash. Robert Balentine, 52, and Teresa Borders, 49, both were arrested after officers found methamphetamine, marijuana, hydrocodone, a loaded .22 caliber revolver pistol, drug paraphernalia and $37,650 cash. Agents of the West Tennessee Drug Task Force and deputies from the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office executed the search at an address in the 30 block of John Jetton Road in Trenton. Balentine is charged with possession with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Borders is charged with possession with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both are free on $15,000 bond each.
