Man faces charges stemming from Jackson apartment search

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man was officially charged Thursday in Jackson court after police say they found marijuana and a handgun during a search of his apartment. Tristan Yarbrough faces several charges stemming from a Jan. 30 search of an apartment in the 1500 block of North Royal Street, according to an affidavit. Officers allegedly found a 9 mm handgun, marijuana individually packaged for resale, baggies with marijuana residue and a digital scale with marijuana residue, the document states. Yarbrough is charged with possession of a firearm during commission of a dangerous felony, drug possession with intent and possession of drug paraphernalia. Yarbrough is free on a $10,000 bond.
