School bus, car collide in north Jackson wreck

NORTH JACKSON — A car collided with a Jackson-Madison County school bus Friday leading to the car running off the road. Children were on the bus at the time, but no one on the bus was injured, according to an officer on the scene. Police say the bus driver was attempting to switch lanes when the collision occurred on North Highland Avenue near Harris Lane. The driver of the car received non-life threatening injuries. Another bus came to transport the students. There is no word yet on whether any charges will be filed.
