JACKSON, Tenn. — Some parts of North Highland Avenue were so slick Monday night, street crews were forced to shut down part of the road. Around 5:30 p.m., Jackson police responded to the area between Forest Avenue and Campbell Street where cars were sliding backwards while trying to get up an incline in the south-bound lane. Officers shut down the road while city workers put down salt. Traffic was rerouted for about 20 minutes.
