Police: Two men airlifted after shooting outside Lexington Walmart

LEXINGTON, Tenn. — Two men have been airlifted to Memphis after a shooting Wednesday evening in a Lexington parking lot. Gunfire was exchanged inside a vehicle after 5 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot in Lexington leaving two men shot, according to Lexington police. One of the men was taken by private vehicle to a Lexington hospital and later airlifted to Regional One in Memphis, according to police. Just before 8:30 p.m., a second injured man arrived by private vehicle at Regional Hospital in Jackson. He also was airlifted to Regional One in Memphis. Lexington police are asking witnesses or anyone with information to call the Lexington Police Department at 731-968-6666. WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News will have more information as it becomes available.
